What are we looking for?

“A piece of heaven they say

What are we looking for?

It’s tricky to explain….”

That’s a bit of the wonderful song Foreverland by The Divine Comedy. It’s on my playlist this morning.. so starting the day on the train thinking about what we’re all looking for.

For people on the train this morning, I’m gonna guess – a nap, a lottery win, different/better job… or maybe that’s just me! But I guess that’s a good thing – I’m tired because I’m a parent, a lottery win would get me a bigger house, but we just managed to get most of our roof fixed, so I’m less worried about ours at the minute (although the overcrowding situation can sometimes be a bit much!) And I have nothing at all against my job, except the travel bit. So really, not much falls into the ‘need’ category, it’s mostly a ‘want’ – nice, but I can live without!

What about you? If Foreverland is your ‘happily ever after’, what would make yours?

Oh Christmas Tree…

So.. I wanted a little tree for my desk at work. After a bit of searching, I found the pattern for Penny the Pine Tree.

I added some ‘tinsel’ – sparkly yarn (crochet chain) and some ‘baubles’ – needle deleted balls (if you’ve been reading – that’s what they were for!)

I’m quite happy with how it turned out, I’m sure it’ll make my desk look Christmassy!

Therapy balls

When arseholes, I mean, people piss you off, grab a sharp stabbie thing and make balls.

That’s not as rude as it sounds (if it doesn’t sound rude, I obviously have a filthy mind). But when I was pissed off today I stabbed stuff repeatedly until I made these:

I’m not saying it makes anything better, but at least it’s only the sheep fluff that I stabbed!

The balls do have a purpose, but they need a few friends before all can be revealed….
