It’s a biscuity kinda day…

So far today, I have eaten 2 weetabix, some vegetable crisps and 5 digestive biscuits. I feel sick. I won’t be getting out for a walk, as my big kid is ill.

Not going well, come back resolve! I need you! Where has motivation gone??

On another note – I sent his to my husband at work, it about sums up my day so far:

Mammy day care would like to point out that sick Toddlers and one toothed vampire babies are not accepted in day care. Sick toddler is either hot or cold and is residing on the sofa, refusing to let mammy leave. Whilst vampire baby was being put to bed for biting people and extreme tiredness, sick toddler’s toe was bitten by a passing cat. Cat has been ejected, no injuries or tears, cat not told off as possibly self defence.

I should change that to probably self defence though!

Off the rails a little bit….

So… Yesterday was ok, foodwise. I went to the gym first thing, 300 and 20something calories later (not much, but it’s a start) I caught up with the family, we took largest to an indoor play place, had lunch (jacket potato) at a supermarket, and then hit the beach for a little walk.

Little was teething, that’s why he’s eating his wrap.

I made a pretty decent evening meal (even if I do say so myself!)

And then had an argument with husband which resulted in him sleeping in the sofa. Apparently, he waited all night for me to come and tell him to go to bed. I didn’t.

So, today was pretty bad, foodwise. There may have been sweeties.

I tried to redeem myself with a healthy lunch (giant cous cous and beans with salad)

But… We had a mini BBQ, so I’m way over on my protein and carbs for today. I also had 2 alcohol free beers. Which is just pointless calories!!!!

And then because things had gone wrong, I had chocolate. Followed by icecream. The cone looked evil, but I still ate it.

Little baba cut his tooth today. Part came through and he cut the rest biting an ice cube (in a net thingy) that I’d giving him to try and numb it.

So… Tomorrow I get back on the straight and narrow. I haven’t any exercise planned, but will at least fit a walk in somewhere. And no sweeties. And the right amount of carbs and protein. I am not messing this up because other things in my life are messed up!

Tomorrow is another day, and I’m going to sleep so it comes faster. G’night all, hope you’re doing better than me xx

Not too achy

So, yesterday I went for my first proper gym session. It wasn’t too bad, and I’m going back tomorrow. And I’ve been reasonably good today. Chocolate buttons were eaten, but I needed them. Not sure why, but it did!

Gym man said that they’ll probably get me to start using weights next week, that sounds scary!!

Low fat soft cheese, of course. Larger child was at nursery, and smaller child and me met my sister and smallest niece to go to a gig largest niece was doing to end a week long music course.

Baba was not too impressed by the volume, bless him, and we had to go and stand at the back.

Am now enjoying a little drink before bed! ‘night all xx

A bit completely tired…

I am knackered! Children have been alternating getting up all night, and this morning I had one to the eye infirmary as I was worried, and it’s generally been a stressful day!!!

Child is fine, he has a partially blocked tear duct. To check for scratches on his eye, they put dye in it:

I’ve been cooking again today as well. I made a fruit and oats for breakfast, and a kind of casserole-hotpot thing for tea. Lunch was a bit rushed, so no culinary delights there!

“it is 21:18”

I have a thing called a karotz, it’s a talking bunny rabbit (see karotz website if you think I’m nuts). One of the things it does is tell the time. Randomly. I find it weirdly useful to know it’s 21:18. I don’t know why.

I have just tidied my bedside ‘cabinet’ area (replace ‘cabinet’ with ‘random ugly plastic drawer things’ for a more accurate description). It had accumulated a lot of random balls of wool, and unfinished crochet projects. It’s now a bit tidier, I just need to find homes for my birthday presents, and we’ll be all sorted.

Yesterday, I walked three miles to meet for husband at his football match (soccer, in case you’re not in the UK). Was kind of a bit guttered when it turned out he was in the pub, having already finished. Well, I got my exercise for the day, which was the point. I had been suffering much after my gym induction, only my shoulders were sore, I thought they’d have been ok, as I’m used to carrying children. I must use different muscles, I suppose!

So, anyway, being a nice wife, I took the kids to the park, so he husband could still have a pint. It’s a lovely park, and larger child enjoyed it lots:

Husband came to collect us, and we went for lunch, which was good timing, as there was a huge storm, as we got stuck. After the storm, we decided to go for icecream (no, I’m not sure about the logic there either). This is how bad the rain had been:

Pretty harsh! There have been weather warnings for tonight and tomorrow also. Told husband to be careful driving back from football tonight (yes, he’s playing again).

But for now, I think I’ll start a crochet project, and try not to leave it unfinished on my bedside cabinet!
